What is Pelletizing or Hot Die Face Pelletising?
Pelletizing is an essential and integral process of plastic film and bottle recycling. The die cutting method, or hot die pelletizing, is the most preferred among the available alternative plastic recycling methods. In this method, molten polymers - most commonly PE, LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP, BOPP, CPP, PET, PS - are passed through a die head, after which a rotating one-sided pelletizer blade cuts or “slices” the molten compound on the die surface. The product of the pelletizing process is plastic pellets or granulates, which are then used as raw material for extrusion of plastic film and plastic products.

What are Die-Face Pelletizing Blades?
When hot die face pelletising rotating recycling blades are used. Pelletizing rotating knives cut the hot material as it leaves the die head holes and enters the water ring or air for cooling. The pellet cutter acts like a scraper, making a thin cut of the material being extruded from the die and leaving a clean surface for the next pellet.
